Okay, friends, you KNOW I love a good road trip, and this weekend's adventure to Grand Rapids did NOT disappoint! I was actually in town visiting my bestie Sarah – we hadn't seen each other since, like, FOREVER! She’s a nature lover, so Saturday morning we hit up Blandford Nature Center for a gorgeous hike. All that fresh air definitely worked up an appetite!

That's when I remembered one of YOU had messaged me about Two Scotts Barbecue. And let me tell you, it was calling my name!

Two Scotts Barbecue is a total gem. Seriously, the moment I pulled up, I was charmed. This BBQ joint operates out of a converted root beer stand. How cool is that?! Talk about unique! The aroma of smoked meats wafted through the air, and I knew I was in for a treat.

Okay, let's talk about the food. The menu is focused, but everything sounds incredible. Since it was my first time, I had to sample a few things. I went for the Sliced Brisket ($16.00), because brisket is my weakness, and the St. Louis Ribs - Half ($17) because I couldn't resist! And of course I had to try the Smoked Wings ($15/Pound) because I saw someone ordering them and they looked incredible. Oh my goodness, y'all. The brisket was tender, juicy, and had that perfect smoky bark. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious – seriously, I barely had to work for it! And the wings? Perfectly crispy skin with a smoky flavor that was out of this world. I could have eaten a whole pound of those wings myself!

After stuffing my face with amazing BBQ, I was ready for a little more exploring. Before heading back to Sarah's, I took a drive to Lookout Park for some amazing views of the city. It's a great spot to relax and digest after all that delicious food!

What makes Two Scotts so special? Besides the incredible BBQ, it's the whole vibe. It's unpretentious, friendly, and feels like a true neighborhood spot. You can tell they put their heart and soul into their food, and it shows. The menu is short but impactful, focusing on quality over quantity.

Before leaving Grand Rapids, Sarah and I spent the morning at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The sculptures were amazing, and we even saw a few ducks wandering through the gardens!

If you're ever in Grand Rapids and craving some seriously good BBQ, you HAVE to check out Two Scotts Barbecue. Don't let the humble root beer stand fool you – this place is serving up some of the best smoked meats I've had in a long time. Seriously, go get yourself some Burnt Ends ($17) or Pulled Pork ($11) and thank me later! You won’t regret it! I'm already planning my next trip back!
