A day built around one meal
Okay, fam, listen up! I recently took a little weekend road trip up to Medford. A follower had been raving about how much the Meadow Glen area had changed, and I needed a change of scenery. After a *little* too much shopping (oops!), I was starving and craving something seriously satisfying. That's when I saw it: SURA KOREAN BBQ (Boston). An all-you-can-eat K-BBQ joint? Say no more!
This place is the real deal. It's an unfussy, come-as-you-are kind of spot, perfect for when you just want to dig in and grill some deliciousness. What makes it unique? ALL MEATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO GRAB FROM AT OUR SELF-SERVE MEAT REFRIGERATOR. (Seriously, is there anything better than a meat buffet?!). I decided to go with the standard BBQ option.
Grillin' & Chillin'
First things first, I loaded up on the classics. The Beef Bulgogi was calling my name – thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet and savory soy sauce, it was so tender! Next up? Spicy Pork Belly! If you like a kick, this is a must-try. The gochujang marinade is *chef's kiss*. And of course, I had to get some Chicken Teriyaki; it's marinated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce and always a crowd-pleaser. Don't be shy about ordering some of the specially frozen items like Prime Brisket and Thin Sliced Pork Belly, which you order through a QR code. The brisket practically melts in your mouth and the pork belly crisps up beautifully on the grill.
The price points are amazing for the quality and quantity of food you get. With the standard BBQ, you can sample a little bit of everything.
Beyond the BBQ
Medford definitely surprised me! After my SURA feast, I took a stroll through The Park at River's Edge. It's such a peaceful spot for a walk, especially after all that delicious food! Next time, I'm planning a little detour to Bow Market in Somerville, too. I've heard they have some amazing artisan shops and cool vibes.
Final Verdict
If you're looking for a fun, interactive, and ridiculously tasty meal, SURA KOREAN BBQ (Boston) is calling your name! It's the perfect spot to grab dinner after an afternoon of exploring Medford and neighboring Somerville. I give it two thumbs (and a very full stomach) up! Seriously, go check it out!
