A day built around one meal
I was in Linden the other day, mostly to pick up a few odds and ends. I'd also promised my great-nephew a trip to Fairy Tale Forest sometime soon, and thought I'd scope it out. All that errand-running worked up an appetite, so I decided to try Supra Revolving Sushi. I'd seen it a few times and always been intrigued.
What struck me first was the setup: a long, winding conveyor belt carrying plates of sushi past every seat. It's a fun, interactive way to dine, and the novelty alone is worth the visit. Plus, it keeps things moving and allows you to sample a variety of offerings without committing to a whole order.
I settled into a comfortable booth and immediately started eyeing the passing parade. The plates are color-coded by price, which makes keeping track of your spending quite easy. I started with a few pieces of the classic Salmon Nigiri, at a reasonable price, of course. It was fresh and clean-tasting, a great start. Then, I spied the Salmon With Truffle Sauce (D), and that was a revelation! The earthy truffle complemented the richness of the salmon beautifully. At a slightly higher price point, it was worth every penny.
I also sampled the Tuna Spicy Mayo. It had a nice kick, without being overpowering. I’m not usually one for too much heat, but this was perfectly balanced. And the Shrimp Tempura was crispy and light, not at all greasy. The prices for these were very fair, especially considering the quality.
They also have a Kobe beef selection, and I was really taken by the Kobe With Truffle Sauce (D). Though a bit more of a splurge, the flavor was unforgettable. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the truffle elevated it to something special.
While I was there, I couldn't help but notice a family discussing a trip to American Dream after their meal. It's great to see a place become part of a local experience like that. Later, as I was leaving, I saw a few kids excitedly heading towards Kids Empire Linden, presumably for an afternoon of play. It’s nice to know that this area offers a mix of activities for families.
Other items that caught my eye, though I didn't try them this time, were the Salmon Yuzu, the Ebi Spicy Yuzu (D), and the Eel (D). I’ll definitely be back to give them a try.
Supra Revolving Sushi is more than just a meal; it's a bit of entertainment, a chance to try new things, and a surprisingly pleasant addition to the Linden neighborhood. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping in. It's a delightful little experience that might just surprise you.
