A day built around one meal
Okay, foodies, listen up! You know I'm always on the hunt for delicious eats in unexpected places. This weekend, I decided to take a little road trip to visit a friend who recently moved near Mahopac. After catching up, she suggested we check out Sycamore Town Park. It was such a cute little park! After a stroll around the park, we were both starving, and she suggested Noodles & Dumplings Asian Cuisine. Guys, I'm so glad she did!
This place is seriously amazing. From the outside, it looks unassuming, but inside, it's a flavor explosion waiting to happen. The menu is packed with so many tempting options, it was hard to choose! We started with a few appetizers. The Shanghai Spring Rolls (4pcs) for $7.00 were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and we couldn't resist the Crab Rangoon (6pcs) at $8.00, which were light, crispy, and filled with creamy goodness. For something lighter, the Summer Rolls (3pcs) at $6.00 were super fresh and a great way to start the meal.
Now, for the main event: dumplings! Of course, I had to sample several varieties. The Pork & Cabbage Dumplings (6pcs) for $10.00 were juicy and delicious, especially pan-fried. We also tried the Steamed Shanghai Buns (6pcs) at $12.00. Seriously, these are a MUST-ORDER. The ginger and vinegar dipping sauce? Perfection! They even have Steamed Shanghai Buns Topping with Crab Meat (6pcs) for $14.00. If you are looking to try a variety, the Dim Sum Delight ($14.00) is the way to go, which includes 2pcs Shu Mai, 2pcs Pork Dumplings, 1pc Vegetable Dumpling, and 1pc Shrimp Dumpling.
What makes Noodles & Dumplings stand out? It's the obvious care and attention to detail in every dish. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, and the flavors are so authentic. Plus, the service was fantastic – friendly and attentive. I learned they make everything fresh daily!
While you're in the area, definitely check out some of the local attractions. After filling up on dumplings, you could take a walk through the Mahopac Village Centre, a charming local shopping district. Or maybe head over to Baldwin Meadows Park for some more outdoor time! It's a great area to explore.
Honestly, Noodles & Dumplings is worth the trip alone. If you're anywhere near Mahopac, do yourself a favor and go! I'm already dreaming about my next order of those Shanghai Buns. Tell them I sent you! You won't regret it!
