A day built around one meal
Okay, friends, let me tell you about my recent adventure to Portland, Maine! I’d heard whispers from you all about how charming it is, so I decided to take a solo weekend road trip. I was craving a change of scenery and some good New England vibes.
I started my day with a stroll around Bug Light Park. The views of Casco Bay were absolutely breathtaking! After breathing in the salty air, I decided to check out the Portland Museum of Art. I was feeling all cultured and inspired, but my stomach was starting to rumble.
That's when I remembered seeing something about Luna Rooftop Bar. And let me tell you, it was the PERFECT ending to a perfect day.
Rooftop Dreams Come True
Luna Rooftop Bar boasts "Elevated bar bites & cocktails in a sleek rooftop mainstay featuring a terrace with harbor views." And boy, does it deliver! The vibe is chic but still super relaxed. Think comfy seating, amazing views, and a menu that makes you want to order EVERYTHING.
I snagged a seat on the terrace (because, hello, harbor views!) and dove right into the menu. It was seriously hard to choose, but I finally decided on a few must-try items:
* Truffle Fries ($13): I mean, truffle fries are ALWAYS a good idea, right? These were perfectly crispy and loaded with truffle goodness. The garlic aioli was the perfect complement.
* Corn and Lobster Fritters ($21): You can't go to Maine and NOT have lobster! These fritters were so flavorful, with the sweetness of the corn balancing perfectly with the rich lobster. The caper aioli was also delicious!
* Hot Melon Summer ($17): I paired my snacks with this delicious cocktail. It was refreshing and perfect for a warm summer evening.
If I hadn't been alone, I would have definitely also tried the Tuna Tartare ($21) and the Maine Oysters ($23). Next time, I'm dragging a friend with me! I also had my eye on the Lemon Brulee Cheesecake ($14) but was so stuffed I couldn't eat another bite.
Why Luna Stands Out
What makes Luna Rooftop Bar so special? It's more than just the delicious food and drinks (although those are definitely a major part of it!). It's the whole experience. The stunning views, the stylish atmosphere, and the friendly staff all contribute to a truly memorable dining experience. Plus, after you're done with your meal, you can take a quick drive to see Portland Head Light and enjoy the sunset!
Final Thoughts
Seriously, if you're in Portland, you NEED to check out Luna Rooftop Bar. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with friends or a romantic date spot, this place has it all. Trust me, your taste buds (and your Instagram feed) will thank you! It's the perfect way to unwind and take in the beauty of Portland. I know I'll be back soon!
