A day built around one meal
Okay, friends, let me tell you about my recent whirlwind trip to Reno! I popped over to visit my bestie, Sarah, who just moved there, and of course, I had to check out all the local hot spots. We started with the iconic Reno Arch – seriously, you can't go to Reno and *not* get a picture under it, right? After snapping a few touristy pics, our stomachs started rumbling, and Sarah suggested we hit up Dahlia's Mexican Grill.
Let me tell you, Dahlia's did NOT disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was super fun and lively. The decor is bright and colorful, and you can tell they put a lot of love into the place. Plus, their menu is HUGE! We were there for lunch, but with all the options, I almost needed another visit just to try more!
Margarita Madness
First things first: the margaritas. Oh. My. Goodness. They have, like, a million flavors, and at only $12.99 a pop, you might as well sample a few! I ended up going for the Spicy Sunset (mango, pineapple, tajin, and tequila—yes, please!), and Sarah got the Cucumber Jalapeño. Both were AMAZING. Next time, I am trying the Pink Señorita or Hawaiana, maybe both!
They have a whole list of other choices as well if you are not a fan of the standard margaritas. You can choose from a Tulum or Pantera Rosa for $12.99. You can never go wrong with the classis mojito, so why not try the Mango or Strawberry version for $12.99.
Food, Glorious Food!
While the margaritas are definitely a highlight, the food at Dahlia's is just as incredible. The portions are generous, and everything is so fresh and flavorful. They also have a selection of beers from Bud Light to Modelo Especial, all priced at $4.99. Plenty to choose from!
Beyond the Grill
After our incredible lunch, we decided to walk around and check out the area. We considered taking Sarah's little one to The Discovery, which I've heard is an amazing science museum for kids. However, since it was such a gorgeous day, we opted to head to Rancho San Rafael Regional Park instead. We took a leisurely stroll, enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful views. It was the perfect way to end our Reno adventure.
Final Verdict
If you're ever in Reno, you HAVE to check out Dahlia's Mexican Grill. Seriously, it's a must. The margaritas are divine, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is so much fun. Tell them your Reno bestie sent you!
